I'm In The Market...
One is the Brother LX 3125. It has 35 stitch functions and is right at $60.
Number two is the Janome 11543. Boasting 43 stitch functions and a $60 pricetag.
I'm leaning towards the Brother brand. I know the brand and trust their machines.
I do have a third option. Steal my mother's machine. Haha.
Once I get a machine, posts of the projects I do will go up as I get them done.

Boredom, Vintage Shops, and Wedding Rings
There's a vintage shop closing down and selling everything for $10 or less. I am a female and needless to say, I went shopping. I got a Tocca dress, an awesome frilly jacket, a cute summery skirt, and a pair of peacock feather earrings. I just need to go back and snatch the red sari they had, if it's still there. I hope it is.
Wedding planning is still progressing at a good rate for how far off we are from the big day. I have invitations, R.S.V.P. cards, and most of the directions sheet typed up. A dear friend, Ash over at The Thing About Daisies..., is sending me some paper samples so I can play with the colors more. The color scheme is currently based on peacock feathers. I sent a picture of the invitation mock-up to T and... he liked it. Finally, something he likes. Last night we did some pseuo-band shopping on Etsy. It was a lot of fun and we found some very nice rings. I'm partial to a titanium band with an inset pinstripe of silver from TitaniumKnights. I'd rather the silver stripe to be white gold to match my engagement ring. There are a couple of bands that T liked as well.
These pictures are taken from TitaniumKnights.
My pick for me.
Titanium 2mm Wide Silver Inlay
Two options for T.
Titanium Ring with Two White Gold Inlays
Titanium Ring Bevel Cut 1mm offset Silver Inlay

And, I Make My Return
First off, I am in love with California. I had a great week there and being with T made it that much better.
So, here goes the run down:
My first flight was interesting. I only had one moment where my acrophobia kicked in. We were starting our descent into LAX and I had my eyes glued to the football game, so the sudden view of the plane tilting in my periphery startled me a bit. It was all good though. I made it through both airports just fine. After a few minutes of waiting, T found me and I was jumping up and down like a crazy person. It's ok, he still loves me. :D
So, we made the drive to Lompoc that night and got settled in to just chill for the night. The next day, he took me to meet Papa and Mama Bennett. I love these two people. They were so nice to me even though I was feeling awkey. We went to do some furniture shopping (and snagged a complete bedroom set at a steal of a price!), then went to dinner with Ma and Pa.
T took me to the base beach my second day there. It was cold but so pretty and we were the only ones there. Want to see? Well, here you go!
We spent some time just hanging around, shopping for kitchen things so I could cook, and enjoying each other's company. I sorely miss being able to just hang out with him doing nothing or playing video games. Thanksgiving day was spent with the majority of his shop eating, drinking, and being merry.
And, don't forget the Rockband!
Lots and lots of Rockband.
My next to last day there, we took a trip down to the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. Because, I'm a nerd like that.
For my last bit of time left, we went bowling. He is a much better bowler than I. At least I didn't drop the ball.
I enjoyed my trip very much and there are many more pictures that I love. Enjoyed the time with T even more and can't wait to move out there. I miss him very much. Hopefully, it won't be too long before I get to see T again.

Oh Hai
It's been a while. Sorry, life likes to kick my ass sometimes. So, here's the update.
My brother's birthday was this month. I decided to make him his favorite pie since I had to work all that day. Peanut butter pie. It's delicious. Really. I'll post the recipe later.
I had to work all that day for the Athens Augustana show. It was a good show but I couldn't stop laughing that one of the band members has a smaller ass than I do.
As for school, it's kicking my ass. Between woody ID and Chemistry, I've been busy. I'm also planning on participating the the PLANET competition in the spring.
PLANET is a competition for Horticulture and Landscape Design students held every year with events in plant ID, equipment, design, construction, and other things geared toward the market. It can also come with great connections for the future.
I posted a bit back about the Hort Club trip to Charleston. For the spring they're going to San Diego. I don't think I'll be able to go though. I'll be taking 17 hours of classes and working full-time in the spring. The extra hours are so that I can graduate December of next year like I had planned on. Graduating when I want is more important than the trip to me though. I'm ready to get out to California.
Speaking of California, my flight out there is coming up fast. I'm so excited. Even more excited that T's Sgt asked that I make T-day dinner for the three of us since his wife will be gone. It sucks that she won't be able to be there with her husband for the holiday, but I'm excited none the less.
Today's plan had been to go spelunking with a friend but everyone else bailed on him so no luck today. The trip got postponed till after finals. Yay! I still get to go do this.
I think that's all I've got. Till next time...
peace out.
